Elegant Escarpment Wedding – Coen and Chloe
On a delightful afternoon in May this year, lovebirds Coen and Chloe became husband and wife. They shared their wedding with a gathering of friends and family, tying the knot on the Escarpment against the sweeping hinterland backdrop of Flaxton Gardens the Sunshine Coasts favorite wedding destination. By the end of the day, many joyful tears had been shed – particularly by the groom!
Sold on Love
Unbeknownst to the couple, Coen and Chloe had lived around the corner of each other and had no idea the other existed until the day Chloe sold her future husband a 1997 WV Golf. That was in 2013, and after years of friendship and romance, the time came for marriage. Coen proposed during a holiday to the Whitsundays, getting down on one knee after a post-dinner beach walk. ‘We both were crying and so happy and over the moon,’ Chloe said.
A Memorable Experience
The couple chose Flaxton Gardens as their venue and enlisted the help of the Flaxton Gardens Team to create a ‘timeless, elegant, simple wedding.’ They designed a unique guest book which allowed guests to sign and drop small wooden hearts into a framed box. The rest of the decorations and wedding inclusions for the ceremony and reception were provided by Flaxton Gardens. ‘The views, the staff and the food,’ were all unique elements of the day and combined to create a memorable experience.
Celebrating Stress Free
Coen and Chloe were grateful for all the support they received from the Team. Flaxton Gardens ensured the couple were calm and stress-free throughout the day and advised them to pause, breathe and enjoy every moment. ‘We cannot thank your team enough,’ Chloe told us. ‘You helped everything go smoothly…It was perfect!’
Wedding Highlights
We asked the newlyweds about their highlights of the wedding. For Chloe, it was ‘seeing my gorgeous husband’s contagious smile’ and ‘amazing energy’ throughout the whole day that made her marriage meaningful. Coen said his highlight was ‘the moment the bridesmaids and then Chloe walked down the aisle.’
After such a remarkable celebration, Chloe offered some advice for future couples planning their wedding. ‘Do not stress about the day,’ she said. ‘It will be perfect as long as you and your partner are there! Take a few moments to breathe and take in the day.’
