Diamond Lunch 92.7 MIX FM Give Me 5 appeal

Thank you for being an integral part of the Southern Cross Sheds Diamond Lunch, raising vital funds for 92.7 MIX FM's Give Me 5 appeal.

Flaxton Gardens and the Sunshine Coast Community helped raise a record-breaking $61,500 on the day - the largest Diamond Lunch fundraising tally in its history.

This year we saw some of our best raffle items, so a big thank you to the generous businesses and suppliers who donated to make this day a success.

Thanks to this year's 92.7 MIX FM's Give Me 5 appeal, we will now be able to establish an innovative Parental Support and Youth Advisory Group program to support young adults and provide a circle-of-care for mental health patients. This program will be delivered within our new facility Wishlist Centre which is under construction opposite the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

We will also be able to continue laughter, pet and distractive therapy programs for children across emergency, surgical and outpatient departments, plus the purchase of a portable ultrasound for the Maternity Outreach Service to ensure the health of our unborn babies, a $31,087 neonatal resuscitation system and a blood analyser to enhance the care of our youngest patients.
