A new art space at Flaxton Gardens, curated by Joanne Howard of Maleny Art Direct, will launch with an exhibition celebrating the diversity, talent, and resilience of women throughout the Mother's Day period.
After months of planning and preparation, Joanne Howard of Maleny Art Direct is thrilled to announce the opening of the new Art Space at Flaxton Gardens.
To celebrate this launch, Joanne will curate an inspiring exhibition showcasing renowned Sunshine Coast artist Vanessa Perske, her talented daughter and emerging artist Lais Perske, and Viera Keogh of Floral Twist. The exhibition, titled "She's Just Not One Thing, She's Everything," will run throughout the Mother's Day month from Sunday 27th April until 1st June.
"This exhibition honours the strength, talent, and remarkable achievements of women, acknowledging their boundless potential," said Joanne. "We have moved beyond traditional expectations and roles, recognising that women are so much more than what was envisioned. Through this exhibition, we express our deep gratitude and admiration for the incredible women who inspire and shape the world around us."
Vanessa, Lais, Viera and Joanne will all attend the exhibition’s launch event. Visitors are encouraged to pre-order an antipasto plate to enjoy with a glass of wine while watching the sunset and exploring the artworks.
The exhibition is open Wednesday to Sunday from 8.30am to 2.30pm, with free entry. Donations from artwork sales will support the "Love Your Sister" charity.
